Bibi Saree

The Bibi saree in silk organza is hand embroidered with panels from vintage Banarasee sarees embellished with glass beads. We wanted to preserve the beauty of heirloom weaves which are either not wearable anymore or too heavy to drape, so we applied fragments of these sarees on to airy organza to craft drapes for modern ceremonial wear. It is paired with the sleeveless core vest in aged metal Gota.
