Anirudh’s Wedding
From the moment I was introduced to Ateev and the Re-Ceremonial team through a close friend, I knew I was in good hands. As soon as I explained what I was looking for, Ateev just seemed to understand me immediately and knew how to translate my personality into my looks.
When I walked into the studio and saw some of the other pieces they had created, I was impressed. But what really stood out to me was hearing Ateev talk about what the brand stood for; how his garments are intentionally made to be re-worn and each layer of the outfit can morph into a new look. My outfits can continue building new memories. I was hooked.

Being South Indian, I really wanted there to be a nod to my heritage in the outfit. A lungi is such a core memory for me and brings me back to my childhood; my father and grandfather always wore one. It felt traditional and nostalgic but still completely modern and very true to my style. It ended up being by far the most comfortable part of the outfit. I felt amazing in it, I could move easily, and I never had to think about adjusting anything throughout the day. It was the best wedding outfit I could have asked for, and I feel incredibly lucky to have had Ateev and the team create something so special for me.

Since we live in New York and I was only going to be in India for three weeks, I was definitely nervous about how we were going to make everything work. But the whole process was incredibly smooth. Ateev understood what I was looking for from day one. I genuinely thought we would be going through multiple rounds of designs before landing on something, but he did such an incredible job, that we landed the design and fabric on the first round of review.

I did my fitting just two days before leaving Bombay, and then received the finished outfit right before the wedding three months later. It literally fit me like a glove.

Ateev and KJ didn't miss a single detail. Even the subtle personalizations they added inside of my outfit were so thoughtful and meaningful. Those are the kinds of details that are going to stay with me forever, and I'm incredibly grateful for how much care they put into making the whole thing feel so personal.
